Workout samples.

  • Workout ride. Location Ymca. Route is from 62 roundabout to Marina Inn round about.

Warm up: 10 min spinning at a high cadence, starting easy, and building to Z3 effort. . Spin-ups: 5x(30s spin-up/30s recovery) . Main set: 4×10 min @ Z3 effort, 90+rpm, in aero. Every 2 min: 20s sprint, out of the saddle, 95% effort. Then right back into Z3. RI is 2 min easy spinning. . 5 min Easy spin cool down -Trismarter workout

 

  • Workout ride. Location Ymca. Route is from 62 ave to Marinna Inn roundabouts.

Warm-up: 10 minutes Easy spinning at a high cadence (80-90rpm), 10 minutes Steady (a little more effort than Easy), 5 minutes back to Easy . Main Set: 2x(6 minutes at 92-94 rpm/6 minutes at 70-75 rpm). . Effort is Steady throughout the main set. What heart rate feels “Steady”? . If needed, take 2-4 minute breaks between sets with Easy effort spinning. Feel free to “get out of the saddle” (stand while pedalling) to relieve saddle pressure during your rest interval if needed. . Finish with 5-10 minutes of Easy spinning as a cool down. -Trismarter workout

Loop Training

25 mile loop Begins and ends at Ruth’s Chris Steak house. This loop has a couple of stop lights. RiverOaks rd. can be busy at times. Click for mapmyride map.

25 mile loop

18 mile loop begins and ends at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. No stop lights.  Great way to practice by having an aid station setup with nutrition and an ice-cooler. Also restrooms are available. This route is tucked away from city traffic. It is mostly in a neighborhood. This course has an out and back 10 k running rec lane.   Click for mapmyride map.

marina-pp loop 18miles

18 mile loop begins and ends at Barefoot Marina. No stop lights. A great way to practice by having an aid station setup with nutrition and an ice-cooler. Also restroom are available. This route is toucked away from city traffic. It has 3 bridges. This course has a 10 k running rec lane loop. Click for a mapmyride map.

Novice 

7.4 Mile Ride This begins at ymca or at Grande Dunes Marina. You will ride only on Jogging-bike path. Great place to ride with young kids or just to get into cycling.        Click for  Mapmyride Map.

14.82 Mile Ride. Begin at Ymca. once you enter Grissom from bike path you can ride on sidewalk all the way to 10th avenue. There will be a bike path all the way back excluding mile 8.5 to 11. Click for  Mapmyride Map.
